History

OP STAPEL vzw is a recognized (NN 0450693969) cultural association.
Founded in 1993 by professional musicians, more than 70 classical chamber music concerts have been organized.

Objectives

OP STAPEL vzw is an artistic collective that wants the public to (re)discover the great masterpieces
of world chamber music litterature.

Approach

OP STAPEL provides a platform around which chamber music lovers - without any restrictions -
can get into direct contact with the music itself.
A high professional level of musicianship absolutely comes first.
All performers are classically trained musicians - soloists of international level and experience - who all
play in professional orchestras and ensembles.
The programming ranges from pre-baroque and romantic - on authentic instruments - to contemporary 'classical' music.

Stapelconcerts

In the period 1993-1997, the association has organized 22 evening concerts in the Ghent Gravensteen.
As of February 2001 a new formula was adopted: aperitif concerts on Sunday mornings in the Cultuurkapel St-Vincent.

After complete restoration, this marvellous chapel was given a new purpose as a modern concert hall.

Its acoustic properties are close to perfection.

Our concerts are financially supported by de Stad Gent - Departement Cultuur
and the Provincie Oost-Vlaanderen

A free drink is offered after the concert.
